lining pants with a zip pocket opening

Has anyone some advice on lining a pair of pants/slacks that has a zip/pocket opening? I look forward to hearing some of your views or experiences.

If you line the pants completely separate from the pocket, the pocket can simply hang between the outer fabric and the lining.
