What is the best way to manufacture a home sewn item I created? It is a small product and I am just beginning a business so I am thinking it may be best to first hire a seamstress to work with me for my first runs. How do I find a good seamstress and how to I find a quality manufacturer that I can afford?

I think you probably need to read Kathleen Fasanella's
Entrepreneur's guide to sewn product manufacturing...
lots of good information in it about going into production.
Try your local public library system or South Star Sewing
Supply or an online bookstore.
