I would like to purchase a crotch length tape measure (one of those metal chain types) but am not able to locate a source. Can anyone help me?

I don't know about the chain types, but I found a flexible tape measure in the drafting supplies section of our local university bookstore. It holds a curve nicely and is marked in cm and inches. It's made by Staedtler, model 971 60-18. (18 inches long)
Thanks for this suggestion. I have one of these and I have also constructed one of the back to back tape measures with a weight, but would love have this metal thing. I swear that Threads mentioned this as a must have in one of their issues on sewing notions, but an online search does not target the specific issue.
