I have a singer XL150 embroidery sewing machine. I am looking for reasonably priced software to embroidery large letters. I am particularly interested in the sizes you commonly see in professional garments. Help!!!!

Try http://www.embroideryarts.com. This is a wonderful site that specializes in monogram designs. His work is beautiful, and is extremely well digitized (meaning it has all the right underlay and and such to produce a gorgeous stitch-out). You can purchase full alphabets as well as individual letters
There's also software includes a lot of fonts and styles (Magnificent Monograms, by Amazing Designs, is one, but there are others)...Try a Google search on "embroidery software monograms" to start.
