Well, I’m sorry to report that I, too, just had a rotten experience w notions.com. I don’t know Heather Claus or anything abt her except like any other website, the quality of service.
I ordered 2 items and received only one. The other was out-of-stock. Instead of noting that and promising later delivery, they suggested I “re=order” and pay another $5 shipping.
I’m a very patient person, but why put up w this kind of treatment when there are so many websites that are pleasant and enjoyable to deal with?

Last week I had the interesting experience of getting the back order before the regular order...made me think the regular one had been lost. But no, it arrived 3 days later. It wasn't notions.com however. rjf
