October Challenge Update!

rodezzy | Posted in General Discussion on

I just looked over the list and while I made this list, I haven’t been keeping to it.  I’ve been all over the place.

1.  Friday 10/12/07 evening, put finishing touch on purple, white and yellow sweater coat and wore it out for a spin on our chilly Sat.  Started knitting a blue chenelle and boa fur yarn poncho.  Pinky finger of right hand is in pain at the first joint.  Put down the knitting at halfway mark.  It’s going to be awesome when I finish……………….

3.  Earlier in the week.  Finished crocheting over the mesh canvas on all four sides of a black purse I’m making.  Can’t decide on the finishing or closures for this one, so it’s sitting around waiting to speak to me.

4.  Sat. Afternoon and Sunday – Took down and rebraided my hair.  Day and a half for that.  Yes I braid my own hair, and no I don’t want to explain that, just know that its another craft and I watch a lot of television during that time (smile).  Watched the rise and fall of the Roman Empire, Emperor by Emperor on History Channel.  Then the rise and scurge of drugs in American.  Really– don’t ask.  I count it as a craft too.

I guess I’ll cut out a coat tonight – I guess!  I still need to finish checking my stash for yardage of coat fabric and make my 9 year old grand daughter a twin size quilt and…and well you know how it is, I never lack projects waiting in my stash of fabric, yarn, tools and notions to do.  So, we’ll see what I decide to do when I get home.

But I HAVE to ask..............how often do you need to braid your hair?   My daughter went to England on an honors trip when she was in college.  Her roomate had hair like yours.  She said she had had it braided FOR the trip.  I didn't meet the roomate until I picked them up at the airport, when they came home, and her hair looked great after two plus weeks of travel!  My daughter was jealous.  Gail,

YES GailAnn, if anyone HAD to ask, I'm not surprised it was you.  I braid my hair about every two to three months with a touch up braiding around the edges after about a month.  I wash my hair just like anyone else in the shower with shampoo and conditioner as often as I wish.

I am not answering any more questions about hair.
