Hi, has anyone here used an Omega or Euro Pro sewing machine? WHat are your opinions – are they reliable, how do they compare to others like Kenmore and Singer?

Ariel, the Euro-Pro is a good solid machine without being fancy. It will sell for less at your online stores like http://www.SewVacDirect.com. It is a traditional side load bobbin type machine, meaning that the bobbin case comes out from the front and you put the bobbin into it, and then place the bobbin case back in the machine. I personally prefer the New Home 3123, drop in bobbin, a few bucks more, but easy to use machine, handling both heavy and light material with greater ease. It is also available at the above store I mentioned.
Hope this helps, Stephen
*Thanks Stephen. I went shopping today for a machine and ended up coming home with a Kenmore. I only saw 2 Omegas within my price range and while they looked sturdy they didn't have as many features as the Kenmore. Well, at least now I can start sewing!
*Ariel: If your Kenmore is similar to the one I have, when you select the stitches shown on the dials, it will also tell you the presser foot to use and your stitch width and length. Is your Kenmore computerized or manual?
