Pattern for Mary Rays quilted jacket?
Hi there,
New to the forum here. Just seen the tutorial from Mary Ray on Machine Quilting a Jacket. She has done a wonderful job and I am wondering what pattern was used.
Keen to find out as I live in Turkey and its hard to get supplies where I am, so planning to get everything together when I return to the U.K. for Christmas.
Any ideas how I can get the information, do I need to try and mail the Editor of threads?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Welcome, Welcome SmockerLady! It's always so much fun to meet people from around the world here! Here's the toll-free phone number and email address for the Editors: Threads Editorial: 800-309-9262; [email protected]. Maybe (Probably - they're pretty responsive!) if we send them a couple of letters, there will be a response in the Comments in a couple days.I'd also like to see some other photos of the jacket as-made - how the front comes together, the collar treatment, and like that! So, what brings you to Turkey? (Just curious... :) )Bright Blessings and happy exploring! Kharmin
Hi there,
Mary is going to do a follow up post and offer the pattern information as well as some further explanation as requested by many on her original post. Stay-tuned for that to come!
Hi there Deana,
Thank you so much for your reply.
Cant wait to get the follow up from Mary; she is a fantastic contributor.
Kindest regards,
Smockerlady.
Check the archives for THreads, issue #100...It's on the cover
Hi there PennyLou,
Thanks for the advice, just need to check how I find archives and get to it.
The good news is that there is going to be a follow on tutorial from Mary, so I am looking forward to that too.
Have a great day.
Smockerlady.
Mary Ray's quilted jacket
This response may be way too late - but if you are referring to the ginger brown jacket Mary Ray quilted on the diagonal, and was featured in Issue 103 it was Guy Laroche Vogue Paris Original. 2607 I made it up - the quilting was easy, but the way the jacket was held togther at f the front was really fiddly and not well explained in the pattern.
