hello all….
i am desperatley looking for the name of a particular metal closure used in some coin purses. the one that i am looking for opens by squeezing the sides. it consists of two flexible metal bars (similar to the kind used in metal measuring tapes) that are held together by pins on the side (exactly where one squeezes to open it up).
thanks!!

I was browsing through some topics, and found your plea. I can see from the date of your original message that mine is more than a year late. Hope I can still help you. The item that you are looking for is sometimes referred to as a spring-action purse frame. Clotilde sells it in her catalog -- you can probably get it online. There is also a woman named Linda Ghee who sells many different kinds of handbag making supplies, including a variety of frames, handles, etc. I had her catalog, but I cannot put my hands on it right now. I know that you can find her by doing a search on her name via the internet or by searching on Ghee's.
