Project Runway outside the US

Stillsewing | Posted in General Discussion on

Some time ago there was a lot of discussion about “Project Runway” but it appeared to be available only in America. I have now come across a listing for this programme on Sky One on Thursdays at 8.00 pm if any one cares to watch it. (I don’t have this channel either but will soon rectify this). The series started on 3rd April but I suppose it is still running but near the end of the run.

So happy watching!!!!

There is a Canadian version of "Project Runway", this year's winner was a young man from the Regina, Saskatchewan I believe. Could be wrong here, just caught odds and ends of the show.

Sorry I haven't managed to see any of this programme. I was rather hoping that someone else this side of the Atlantic had picked it up --- and preferably on a channel that I have access to!!!

Hi Stillsewing!  I live on this side of the Atlantic and we have had Project Runway on here (in Sweden).  It's been on a couple of the local channels here (seasons 1 and 2) so maybe it will be coming to your area soon.  I have to confess that I love the show so much that I have bought the DVDs.  Not sure if the DVDs are available in all viewing formats yet but that may be worthwhile for you.  I find the shows inspirational and don't mind seeing them more than once even though I know how it ends!

I agree about watching them more than once. They rerun them a lot in my area and I really enjoy watching them again.

Dear JatmanGlad you like the shows. So far I have not been able to access them. Where did you purchase the DVDs? That might be my solution to seeing them. I think that if you are able to view them I should be able to as well.
It is only the USA (and maybe Canada) that use different methods of viewing or of electricity voltage. The rest of the world have a similiar methods and I have bought DVDs everywhere else in the world that work here. I'll keep looking, thanks.

Hi Stillsewing!  I actually bought them from Amazon.com (the US version) because I have a DVD player that plays both formats.  I did discover this site though:

        http://www.sidereel.com/Project_Runway

I haven't tried to watch Project Runway on sidereel.com but I did manage to watch a few episodes of Scrubs on there.  I can't seem to get any of the Asian links to work but that may just be me.  It was hit or miss as to what I could get to work.  Hopefully you will be able to see enough of it to see if you like it or not.

Plus, I just realized that Project Runway DVDs are available here:

          http://www.play.com/Search.aspx?searchtype=allproducts&searchstring=project+runway&page=search&pa=search&go.x=5&go.y=18

but they still seem to be Region 1

I hope you can view some of these.  Let me know what you think!

The series was re-run on Sky 3 which is available on Freeview. Think it is finished now but when it ran there seemed to be no fixed time slot for it which made it difficult to follow.
