Rayon Jersey: where to find?

user-182398 | Posted in Fabric and Trim on

Where can I find rayon jersey?  95% rayon and 5% spandex.

There are different weights of these rayon knits... I love rayon knits but have found some to be much less substantial or sheer than others, so it's worth requesting a swatch first.  The higher end stuff I've found that's opaque enough for modesty even in lighter colors is from Christine Jonson (http://www.cjpatterns.com) or Emmaonesock (http://www.emmaonesock.com), they're definitely more $$ than that shown at Fabric.com, so I'd see if you could get a swatch or buy a nominal amount from fabric.com's to compare - I used to buy a lot there but it got to be more hit or miss then more miss so haven't for awhile but I'd be willing to try these for summer when I want something really light and sheer if I could see it first - the price just makes me suspicious.

I agree, you usually get what you pay for. I have found that everything at EOS is the best quality. And if you don't like it she'll take it back no questions asked. Christine Jonson also has the best quality in knits.

I also read Pattern Review and some of the subscribers have complained about Fabric.com's service and the quality of the fabrics. I agree that you should definitely get samples.
