Sewing Machine For Beginner
Depends on what you will be sewing. Heavy duty items such as upholstery or multi items for a home business, an industrial type machine that has the option of higher speeds than that of a home machine may be a better selection.
For general home sewing of garments for personal use, any mid-range model that has a buttonhole foot for the obvious reasons, various needle positions for the perfect blind hem as well as pressure adjustment for delicate fabrics that do not need a lot of presser foot pressure to feed through the machine as it makes the selected stitches.
Visit as many sewing machine shops as you can find and ask for demos in your price range. They may also have machines that they took in trade for which they will provide a limited warranty.
You want a shop that is friendly, takes their time helping you, has classes and services the products they sell.
