Hi — on a different bulletin board, someone recommended buying notions from Softwear Productions in Chicago (they sell on the web at softwear productions.com). Just a buyer beware — they debited my account on the day of the order, I haven’t received the order in over 2 weeks, they don’t respond to e-mail and have disconnected their phone and fax. Not in bankruptcy, according to the Chicago Bankruptcy Court, but perhaps you shouldn’t place an order with them…..

Ouch! I've dealt with them in the past with reasonable success. I suspected that they waited for my order and then procurred the merchandise. It did all arrive however and the prices are very low. I just placed another order with them. The sell Madeira 100% cotton thread for less than Madeira sells wholesale. So for that I'll wait an extra week or so.
