I was just googleing around for some Knitting info and I came across two sites that were so funny I almost spit my coffee out. One was what not to knit and the other was what not to crochet. I’m going to check to see if there’s one for sewing. If not, there should be.

OMG, this is sooo funny, geez. LOL Thanks for the laughs, Dot!!!

Thanks for the chuckle!!!
I am trying "not to sew" things I don't enjoy doing, like alterations and hemming for family and friends....I just want to play with my machines and discover new techniques! This old girl just wants to have fun!!!! Mary
Where are these websites? They sound like just the thing for someone who is procrastinating on her next project....
they seem to have changed the site around a bit,but it still has the same stuff: http://whatnottoknit.wordpress.com/ there is a link there to the crochet site which you might as well look at while you're procrastinating like me.
Thank You! Thank You!! Thank You!!! Have I ever got the giggles!!! Oooooooooooooooo that pink/purple cat suit is to dye (die) for, literally. Too hot to handle!
I went. I saw. I laughed till I cried, and then I showed my dh and dear son, who also laughed till they cried. Truly the best mood-lifter ever-- I'm going to go back to that site every time I get frustrated sewing!
Thankyou for a good laugh. The old saw just because you can do it doesn't mean you should! The kids pumpkin outfit was actually amazingly done, but why spend that kind of time and money on a toddler who will outgrow this costume by next year!
Hi Dotty,
Thank you so much for posting that site. Both the WNTK and WNTC sites are funny and the You Knit What? site is just hilarious! I never would have found those on my own. Thank you - I'm still laughing!

Thanks for posting the site, and it sure is funny! Makes you wonder if the designers are getting desperate to make something -anything- to catch the customer's attention!
Can anyone tell me, what exactly does 'fug' mean?
Well, I think the f stands for a word that would get me banned from ever posting anything on this site again and the ug is for ugly.
JT
That description does seem to fit! I wondered if it was some specific acronym or something.
It looks like some of the creations which come down the runway at Haute Couture fashion shows !! The jumpsuit takes the cake . That is truley appalling.
you would have to wonder did they have that much time to think did they do this for a yarn ad or do they they think this will sell is there a way out of that thing and isn`t mohair a little expensive and would you tell any one if you bought it and it looks hot it does not look confortable atall. All they need is a zipper at the top and then they can`t get out and make another one Ha Ha
THAT is very funny! I enjoyed the laughs. Makes me glad I don't knit. They truly will sell ANYTHING on ebay!
I laughed at those too. They were so funny. thanks for posting.
reminded me of Dr. Seuss. Just add a hat!
I didn't go to "crochet". This site was enough. It brought tears to my eyes. I shall keep it for "low" moments and friends who drop by. Thanks!!!
I am actually speechless and that is a rare occasion with me!!
Thanks for sharing this site. wow.....
I clicked on that link for more of the mohair items (that cat suit if that is what you call it) they were selling on ebay and all I can say is unbelievable!!
shorts, leggings, an Tube type dress.
Ok I loved the smiles and honestly some people have way too much time on there hands to be selling that.
Huge Smiles to you
Connie
