I have some lovely family heirlooms to store and I need acid-free boxes and tissue to interweave in the folds (this according to the local museum preservationist). I can’t find boxes locally, except for photo storage boxes, which are the wrong shape and size. Where do I buy such items?

Here's a source for acid-free storage: http://www.cleanersupply.com/
Good prices, and very nice folks to deal with.
There are several companies on the 'net that sell archival supplies, but they are not cheap. One is http://www.universityproducts.com and the other is Light Impressions. Since I value my antiques, I am a little leery of using some of the other companies for fear the products might not be as good.
I collect antique clothing, etc. and buy my tissue paper by the roll.
Thanks so much for the help! I found that Cleaners Supply sell mainly to dry cleaners and their quantities are large. However University Products sells to museums and preservationists but also sells to individuals in small quantities. They have everything from soup to nuts when it comes to preserving stuff! I found a perfect combination for me: they sell some boxes that come with a few dozen sheets of tissue already inside, so I didn't have to buy tissue separately.
