Where to find storage box for threads…

We’re looking for a storage box that will keep spools of threads paired neatly with bobbins of the same thread. An online source would be particularly useful. (I know this is probably a common thing but we just can’t seem to find it!)

Amy C: You can find clear plastic boxes specifically for threads and bobbins at stores such as Jo-Ann's and online through Clotilde and Nancy's Notions. However, you can also look in your supermarket, major discount stores (Wal-Mart, KMart, etc.), and hardware/houseware stores and find boxes manufactured by such companies as Rubbermaid and dozens of lesser known companies. They will do just as well. Some are soft plastic (like Tupperware) and others are hard (like Styrene); some are clear and some are opaque. I would suggest something soft and clear with a good-fitting lid because, if dropped, they will not easily crack and break or spill the contents. I think what you want is something tall enough to allow the bobbin to sit on the spool with one of those little devices that link the two together. Some of the containers have adjustable compartments, which is good if you have a wide assortment of threads.
