SewStylish Spring Fashion Challenge 2015

Elegant in Ivory

As a petite woman, my sister always have difficulties finding clothes that fit her well, so I made this simple, but elegant dress for her to add to her limited wardrobe.  I used my own pattern and design.  The dress is made of ivory Ponte Roma knits and layered with a white burnout sweater knits.  The hat is covered in ivory satin with handmade ribbon flowers.

    Dear SewCatherine -
I really enjoyed both your address and the story about it. You are a very generous sister! The dress fits your sister beautifully with great proportions for her petite size. She looks very happy wearing it. The belt is a perfect accessory with the ivory coloring of the dress fabric.
I only wish it would be possible to see the burnout layer in greater detail. Perhaps it is that my eyes are too old to see the detail in your pictures.
I am sure that your sister will enjoy wearing this dress for many occasions.

Correction: I meant to say that I really enjoyed your "dress" -- not your "address"!
