What a lovely dress and bride. This is a very flattering design with the shirring crossing off center in the front. The triangles created by this really add a lot of dimension and length. The scallop edge of the lace finishing the bodice edge is very smart. The mantilla really pulls everything together. Nice work.
Koos van den Akker’s iconic bias strip technique gives appliqué sharp definition and unity. David Page Coffin explains how to apply this method to your own work.

The lace on the mantilla really adds so much to the ensemble. The mantilla shows almost like a cloak and beautifully frames the dress.
