Sometimes, it will do a soul good just to slow down and do something that forces you to reflect and remember! Recently, I ran across a few items that came in a lot that I had purchased in an estate sale. What fun, remembering how I use to love to work embroidery in my high school days!

Yes, I too love to look at vintage sewing supplies! If I don't get around to making it a project I collect them and arrange them to look at in my sewing room/studio/retreat. It makes me smile even to see binding tape for 10 cents! I like old patterns that were 25 cents to a dollar, especially little girls, dog, and novelties. But embrodiery patterns always steal my heart. I enjoy things from anywhere, my family or others, that reflect how much they mattered to another woman that she would treasure them and take care of them or they would not still be here. My grandmothers and mother were very poor in the Southern USA and handwork was so important to them. I wanted to be good at it just like them, but I have so far to go!
