This Jacket was inspired by the All Saints Leather “Marin Jacket”. I loved the texture of the leather with the added detail of the quilting. I added the quilting detail on the shoulders, sleeves and back of jacket. I used Simplicity Pattern #2341 which is a very basic princess line pattern for all my drafting changes. I needed to draft pieces for all the quilting details and add the lining change since this pattern didn’t call for a lining. I used a light weight black Matlasse fabric for the body of the jacket and a floral Charmeuse for the lining.
