The fabric was one of those ‘specials’ from Croft Mill.  it was actually quite a thin wool coating and i did wonder about lining it with a fleece but instead opted for bremsilk lining.  With a view to making a more sporty jacket for my son which would be warmer and more casual at a later point.  The pattern was Vogue 8940.  My son was a standard 38″ chest sizing so it didn’t even need altering = bonus seeing as it was a surprise.

Easy pattern to follow.  It made up really well.
