Plaid and Ponte Moto

This jacket was total serendipity! I bought a gorgeous plaid wool from the US for a skirt, but when it arrived it was too thick. I only had 1.5m (not enough for a whole jacket) so I added some ponte knit I had in my stash to make this beauty! There was heaps of hand stitching involved because I used the ponte knit cut into strips for the binding but I just love the result. I'm like this alot! Sometimes, when we don't get what we want, it works out better than we can have imagined because we are forced to be even more creative :-)
