My son Andrew and I worked on his Darth Maul costume for many months. I did all the sewing, modifying many patterns. He did everything else, including creating a template so he can use an airbursh to paint his face. He made the template using 3-D printing. His goals was to make a costume authentic enough to be accepted into the 501st Legion. “The 501st Legion is an international fan-based organization dedicated to the construction and wearing of screen-accurate replicas of villains from the Star Wars universe”. Happily, yesterday Andrew was accepted and he now looks forward to wearing his costume at many community events. It was a pleasure to work on this project with him!
