This elegant saree was made for a guest at an Indian wedding. The saree fabric is a blend of silk and cotton. The blouse was made from the end and borders of the saree fabric length. Tiny piping was used to accent the seams and a length of crystals with a center drop accent the back of the blouse. The shoulder pieces were quilted and embellished with heat set crystals. The blouse was lined with silk broadcloth and hand stitched to the edge. Tiny hooks and eyes close the blouse at the center front. A skin toned fabric keeps everything together at the back while being virtually invisible. The skirt was lined with silk broadcloth and pre-pleated eliminate the need to drape and pleat the saree when putting it on.
