here is the costume in use at tricks and treats. We were looking for a princess fairy that was not the typical Disney look.

The dress has a simple chemise with bell sleeves and embelished wings.

My granddaughter wanted to be a fairy for Halloween, so I made her a more sophisticated, traditional one. I used a McCalls pattern as my starting point and allowed my creativity to let the costume reflect her personality.  I used a combination of Christmas and Halloween fabrics and ribbons readily available at my local fabric store. Now she wears it constantly as her make believe dress-up wear.
