I began this silk dupioni dress using Vogue pattern V8511.  I drew a pattern of vines and leaves on the side front fashion fabric pieces with chalk.  I laid a piece of satin beneith the dupioni and zig zagged over my chalk lines.  I then removed the fabric inside the leaf patterns.  I completed the dress as described on the pattern sheet.

I wonder what a drapier fabric would do, like the lightweight jersey or crepe recommended. I like your simple, elegant embellishment, attractively placed. The binding on sleeves and neckline is nicely done. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Thank you for the inspiration. (One thought: a dress this chic deserves an equally glamorous belt.) Keep up the good work.
