Guipure Lace Shell
comments (8) February 12th, 2009 in sewing, garment construction, fabric, reader's closetThis little shell consumed my life for 3 months. It was fitted in Susan Khalje's Couture class in Denver CO by Susan. The experience of sewing and learning with an expert in couture sewing and design was a joy for me. My confidence and knowledge soared. Very little of the garment is machine sewn. It is guipure lace backed with silk charmeuse and lined in silk crepe de chine. It is sewn with silk thread.
