My daughter’s back shoulder tip width is 16 and 1/2 inches, 2 inches wider than the back pattern piece. Her FRONT shoulder tip width is 14 1/2, 2 inches narrower than the pattern. I do not understand how to alter the pattern to solve this. Can anyone help?

Are the bust and waist measurement OK? If so this article will work. Do same type of adjustment for front and back. https://www.threadsmagazine.com/project-guides/fit-and-sew-tops/narrow-back-adjustment
II have the same problem.
Hello,
You will note that the writer says her daughter's back measurement is *wider* than the pattern. You posted a link for a narrow back adjustment.
I meant to add that you do the reverse of this adjustment. The concept t the same.
Sorry for not completing my reply.
