Hi, I’m working on a rayon tee shirt. When I tried to add the same fabric neckband, the band kept curling and wouldn’t lay flat while stretched. As this shortens the width of the band I was very frustrated. Ripped it all out, serged the cut ends of the band and reapplied. Worked out very well.  The photo below shows the wrong side of the garment with the serving of the neck band showing
