Fabric stores in Charlotte NC

Elisabeth | Posted in General Discussion on

I plan to visit the Charlotte, NC area in the next week or two.  Are there any good fabric stores to visit there?  I am especially interested in finding sources for bridal silks and laces and for quality wools.

Go to Mary Jo's in Gastonia.  There are very few fabric stores in the Charlotte area.  I wish we had more, but sadly we do not.  There used to be a Woonsocket Spinning Factory Oulet Store in town, just check the phone book.  I don't know if Creative Couture on Kings Drive is still in business or not and I have never been in there, so I cannot attest to what they may have.

I can however recommend Mary Jo's and suggest you be ready to spend the day!  There is also a Bernina dealer in the same 'mall' right across from Mary Jo's.

Mary Jo's sounds like just the kind of place I was hoping for.  I will schedule at least a full morning to spend there.  If I have time I might try out the other stores in Charlotte as well.  Thanks so much for the tip!
