Please critique!
I’ve made one alteration on the left back at the inseam.
The photos show the fitting isn’t the best at the center back around the hip line and beyond (below crotchline).
Also, the center front doesn’t seem to be laying that nicely either.
I’ve made these to be worn below the waist with a faced waistband. I have stitched the seam allowance under for now.
The fabric is 97% cotton/3% lycra.

Please recommend fitting instructions!
Thank you.

Those are going to be a really cute pair of shorts!
My observations are that; the front crotch is too low. Correct this by putting an elastic around your high hip, where you want the top of the pants, and jack up the front until all the bagginess goes away. Mark the new waistline. Next, check the mirror and see what happened to the CB seam line above the crotch curve. As is, it looks like that seam needs to be taken in a bit above the full hip area. But lifting the front might fill out the back nicely.
Pants can be loose and flowing if they are supported by the waist, but in a drop waist design, it's the top of the hip that holds them up, so they need to be snug at the hip curve, so you may need to take in at the center back anyway. I don't know if you know it or not, but your left hip is higher than your right, so fit your hips and don't worry if both sides aren't symmetrical. Send out more photo's when your done.
