help with tension settings

Catmcawesome | Posted in Sewing Machines & Sergers on

Hello

I have not used my sewing machine in many years.  It is a Brother XL2600.  The thread keeps breaking at the needle and the underneath keeps nesting.

I can’t find my book anywhere and just can’t figure out how to fix this issue.  My son is in the Navy and I am trying to make masks but having to re-thread every couple of inches is driving me insane.

Any help would be appreciated.
Catherine

Hi Catherine, I had the EXACT problem so much so that my husband thought your question was mine until he saw your name attached. If you watch the attached video from AlaskaGranny you will get your questions and problems answered regarding tension. I hope this helps as it did me because I was about to purchase a new machine although I knew it was user error. :-) Be blessed and stay safe.

It sounds like the upper tension is too tight and lower tension is too loose capcutapk
