Will it work for me?

MiraEdorra221 | Posted in Sewing Machines & Sergers on

Hi members,

Mira here, Just curious if the Brother SE600 can assist me with both sewing and embroidery. Despite the fact that it has many favorable reviews on Amazon, I am hesitant to buy in it. My requirements are minimal—just basic stitching and occasionally embroidery on materials for things like towels, pillows, hats, etc. Will it work for me?

The SE600 only comes with a 4x4 hoop, which will limit you to very small designs. Amazon advertises that there are 2 other hoops that you can buy to go with the machine, but I would not use either one of them without an extension table. My best advice is to go to a dealer that sells Brother machines and ask to try the machine. If there is no extension table available I would look for different model. I believe that you would grow out of the SE600 pretty quickly.

You also expressed interest in embroidering towels and hats. For hats and towels you may need a more heavy duty machine.
