Need recommendations on buying a Pfaff
*
I am currently in the market for buying a new machine and I need recommendations as to whether I should buy the Pfaff Tipmatic 6122 or the Stretch & Jeans 6091. I have a small handbag business and I need a machine that can do both heavy-duty fabrics as well as lighter ones. I don’t necessarily need a lot of stitch options. I mostly use the basics. Does anyone own either of these or have more information on their performance? I put a deposit down on the Stretch & Jeans but I have 3 days to cancel it. Help! Thanks.

I am also shopping for a new machine or a second hand if recommended.... I am looking at the Pfaff 6091 also, because I need to do hem alterations on jean fabrics, that is the one my local Pfaff dealer has recommended so far. What did you decide Andrea? let me know if you bought the pfaff 6091 and for what reason? and then if you are happy with what you bought.
Thank you Andrea.

*Hi Chantal-I am still in the process of purchasing my machine, but I'm definitely getting the Pfaff 6091. I have a small handbag business so I wanted a machine that would sew through multiple layers of thick fabric and I only needed basic stitch options so this is what my sewing machine dealer recommended for me. I won't have it for another month or so, but I've heard it was a good choice. If you get yours first, let me know what you thought of it! Best of luck!-Andrea
*Hello Andrea,I am still shopping !!!!received a brochure I had ordered from Pfaff manufacture, and found out the 6091 is a limited edition, so I am puzzeled and on my way today to the local dealer to find out more ....Let me know how happy you are with your machine when it comes, good luck with your sewing with a Pfaff machine. If you prefer here is my e-mail:[email protected]
*Bought a Pfaff jeans and satin machine about a year ago, I'm not sure what model number, but I'm sure the brochure they gave me to look at was for tipmatic/tiptronic. I love it. I have sewn several pair of chaps (1-2oz. pigsuede) on it as well as satin dresses and also some vinyl seat covers. It will sew like 5 thickness of pigsuede. I have another janome computerized $1000. machine and I only use it to sew buttonholes. Hope this helps.
