I’m not sure this fits in this thread but I have a question about skirt lining. The skirt I’m making is biased cut skirt. The fabric is georgette so I’m lining it. I’m running short on lining fabric so I’m wondering if it would look right to make the lining not on the bias and make it as an a-line skirt. Would that look right? Would the skirt together hang properly? I’ve attached a picture of the skirt pattern.

I'm thinking about making the lining on the bias rather than on the straight grain, and then sewing the two pieces together to make an a-line skirt out of play tic tac toe the result.
It would probably be best to use a bias cut lining in the skirt. Using lining cut on the straight grain would most likely result in a garment that just didn't hang properly.
Bias cut fabric has a mind of its own. When done properly, the drape is fluid and lovely. I wouldn't want to risk compromising the flow of the bias with a straight grain lining. Good luck!
If you are not careful, the lining of the skirt will make you tight, which makes you uncomfortable. find a word Good luck!
