Washable Markers

Sunshine | Posted in Equipment and Supplies on

For those of us who are looking for a bargain in washable markers (ie ALL of us!!), Target has Crayola Washable Markers on sale this week for $1 for an 8 pack!  I just bought the Fine Line type in the 8 Classic Colors – black, blue, green, yellow, orange, red, purple and brown – the full rainbow of colors. They are about the same size as a regular pencil, with a nice fine tip. Obviously, it’s important to test them on your fabric, but I know others have raved about them! Just sneak them past the kids so they don’t get “lost”……

Yes, please do test them. I found when my boys were youngsters that the greens and yellow did not wash out of most fabrics.

I love those markers! That's agreat price.  I use the Crayola Washables to mark the motifs on my quilts. I've even let the marks stay in for a few months before I washed the quilt. I let it get exposed to sunlight as well. The marks washed out completely. (Some times if you have trouble with staining from dyes, you can use isopropyl alcohol to remove the dye. Be sure to test first and rise promptly with water.)
