Dress made from McCall’s 5616, using cotton printed with a patchwork design in chartreuse and pinks, black, white, turquoise and contrasted with black broadcloth. Neckline trimmed with pink and chartreuse daisy trim. I made this as a Sunday dress for my oldest daughter, age 8.
I believe I was able to make a dress for her that was age appropriate and modest yet trendy. This entry is qualified by the use of two of the colors and introducing contrasts and trim that pulls the multiple patchwork colors together.
