Okay, I admit it: looking at Clive Owen in his King Arthur costume made this task MUCH easier! I made everything except the crown and sword. The pants are pleather with lace ties up the side, the boots are old tennis shoes re-skinned, the cape is lined and trimmed, and the breast plate is plaster of paris covered in pleather with stitched pleather straps, and the fasteners are … PURSE MAGNETS! They’re FANTASTIC! The gauntlets are pleather, and the chain mail is a cotton t-shirt from a jammies pattern with some weird halloween fabric cut from the same pattern and hand-stitched because the fabric was VERY holy, but it really DID look like chain mail. Fun, fun, fun!
