Easy to sew dress

This fabric took my eye because of the large scale print.  It was fun to play with the fabric to place the print in just the right place.  I used a simple pattern for wovens, but it played out nice with my soft matte jersey.  The neckline was finished with matte jersey applied like ribbing.  The ribbing looked a little plain, so by hand with red thread I drew in the ribbing to make it looked scallopped.  This dress is very soft & comfortable to wear.

Beautiful with the subtle accent of the trim. Where did you get the fabric?

Field's Fabrics in Kalamazoo MI. It is right next to the airport. They are a small family owned business. We are very lucky to have Field's as they carry all various kinds of fabric - decorator, formal, silk, many knits, swimsuit, linens, wools, denim, quilting cottons, etc. They have it all! They have seven stores. I bought this Matte Jersey at 40 percent off for less than $5 yd. They are very reasonably priced. Thanks for the comment.
