This ensemble was part of my senior collection back when I was in college. The dress is silk charmuese, the jacket is wool/silk and the silk embroidery was done all by hand. Everything was my own original design and done by me. The dress is a full-circle dress with a piped sweetheart neckline and a ruched midrift. There are bonings and underlayers between the outer and lining layer to support the embroidery and also the silk charmuese itself.
The jacket is fully lined with an asymmetrical embroidery that compliments the embroidery of the dress. I embroidered each pieces first before cutting and putting the pieces together. Each was done very meticulously to make sure that the embroidery designs are continuous on the dress and the jacket. The embroidery thread I used is silk and metallic for the couching part.
this should have won all that other stuff is shitty compared to this the embroidery is really nice.
