Lady Ga Ga inspired jacket

I was trying to channel the sixties Batmobile with the pin striping made with clear red vinyl turned into piping.

I was asked to design and build this for a tv show. I had two days to make it happen. It was sewn with my Juki walking foot, for the thinner vinyl piping I used a home machine with a walking foot. I like to use heat when I work with plastic. The pattern has flared princess seams and pirate style cuffs. I wanted a key motif the buttons are key holes.

It fit the actor better than it's fitting the model in the photo.
