Medieval Gargoyles Perched on Stone Pedestals
We are ancient gargoyles who just flew off a cathedral in France. These costumes are completely home-made. We made the stone shirts by painting felt with stone paint and then cutting it into pieces, and gluing it over stuffing on the shirts. The legs are sewn and attached to black pants to create the illusion of gargoyles perching on a pedestal. The pedestal is made of boxes with holes cut into them attached to boots. The headpiece, wings, gloves, and tail were painted with stone paint to match. The costumes took about a month and a half to make.
