Quick to Make: 1920s Panel Dress

Photo: Jack Deutsch

This article from Threads #177 (February/March 2015) by Leimomi Oakes includes everything you need to know to make this gorgeous dress.

The dress is best made in a soft, draping fabric such as: crepe made of silk, wool, rayon, or polyester; or crepe kimono silk. For a glamorous evening look, use an embellished sheer, and wear the paneled dress over a silky slip. A looser dress is more period accurate, but you can make it with less ease for a slimmer, more modern fit.
