Hello Everyone
I finally decided to bite the bullet and invest the time and make myself muslins to save time in the future. I made a sleeveless shift and it fits pretty well. However, it does gape on the back of the armhole. Any suggestions for how to remedy this.?
The front has 3 darts- a side dart to the bust, a dart from the waist to the bust and a small dart from the armhole towards the bust. In general the darts are placed appropiately, but I would like the whole front to sit tighter giving me more shape. ( I like things to fit very snugly) Should I start by taking in the side seam? ( I added a cm. to the side seam bec I was afraid it would be too tight). Or should I deepen the darts??
Thanks for any advise offered.

Tzipi,
do you want the 3 front darts? you can rotate the armscye dart into the side dart and only have the 2.
For the back, pinch a dart in the armhole to make it fit the way you want, and then (I'm assuming you have a center back seam) slash the muslin through the center of this dart all the way to the center back seam and fold the pattern to close the dart, depending on how large a dart you made, this may make the center back seam slightly off the straight and you will have to straighten it up.
To make the front fit more snugly, you didn't give quite enough info. Try either taking it in at the side seams or making the darts larger and see what fits better
