seam edges

dhertz | Posted in General Discussion on

I bought some fine woven but inexpensive wool which I am going to make into semi-fitted but unlined pants. The fabric is producing lint at the cut edges. Are there any suggestions for finishing the seam edges to prevent this “fabric dust?”

Bind them with your own fabric strips, commercial bias tape, Seams Great, etc.Seal them with Fray Block.

Hi Pasdenom,Thanks for the suggestions. I am going to look for these products, today. Seam binding was mentioned in one of the Threads issues and I think I did use that once, but a long time ago. Thanks again, dhertz
