I made this dress pink Crepe Georgette dress with a few modifications using a Vogue pattern. The dress has pin tucks in front & back, a ruffle at the neck & wrists, along with covered buttons & loops. It can be worn with or without the tie belt. The lining is made as a separate slip. I made it to wear to my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary party. I seldom enter contests like this & have never won; but would be ecstatic if I should win. It would make my 78 yr. old Mother proud since she was my sewing teacher & still tutors me on occasion, when she feels I need it. Being on a fixed income leaves little room in the budget for extras like fabric, so winning a fabric card would be such a luxury that I’d be like a kid in a candy shop. Thanks for the opportunity.

I love it. It is so beautiful and looks as if made by the shops I visited in Paris. Awesome!
Very lovely, this is what couture means. The little details you put in this garment are exquisite. My mother used to go to a few banquets each year with my father and she would shop in the specialty shops for the right dress for each one. I remember going with her to pick out her dresses, the shops always had the finest of clothing, nothing casual in them.
What a very elegant dress! So flattering and so beautifully sewn.
