This linen jacket was inspired by the article “Get Biased” in the June/July Threads. The concept of ruffled binding around the neck and down the front came before the “Shirring, Ruching & Ruffles (Oh My!)” in the August/September Threads. The plain brown linen called for some brightening so borders of bright turquoise embroidery were stitched on the squares before they were sewn together. The resulting jacket was too small for me, but delighted my sister-in-law.
