I made this shirt for my little sister out of one of my dad’s old linen shirts. First, i cut the sleeves and collar off of the shirt. I fit the shirt so that where the collar used to be, was now sitting right uderneath the collarbone. I used the shirt sleeves for the straps (i made halter straps). I sewed lace around the neck and back line and on the straps. I attached the straps to the dress, lining up the stripes on the dress to the ones on the straps, and then tied the straps behind the neck for the halter neckline. Then, I changed the bottons down the front of the dress and on the side pocket from the original small cream color to round black ones, and a silver one for the neckline for extra embellishment. This dress beautifully complemented my sister’s shorter and curvier body type.
