My niece wanted to be a cheerleader for Halloween and asked me to make her a costume. Well, my other niece said being a cheerleader for Halloween was ordinary. I went out of my way to make sure it wasn’t ordinary. I used glittery gold lame for the top yoke and skirt inset and added pops of shine by using glittery black and gold threads for all topstitching. Instead of using braids for the stripes i used glitter ribbons. I also found black glittery letters and ironed those on and then outlined them using gold thread and a satin stitch. I made sure my niece would sparkle and shine everywhere she went. She did not have an ordinary costume!
