Each of these costumes but 1 were completely sewn by hand. This was my whole family.Glendas dress was a family members old wedding dress from 1958 & we carefully dyed it peach and added silver sequence to it to glam it up a bit, her hat was made of poster board with fabric & sequence. (wand bought) The Tin mans outfit was a shiny stretchable fabric it was a 2 piece outfit & we used same fabric over foam to make the elbow & knee areas & sewed it on over. The hat was a plastic oil funnel spray painted silver & hot glued hat fabric to it. Used silver lipstick to cover face & used silver spray on old pair of shoes. (Heart clock was made of foam & felt, little bit of poster board & ribbon.) The Lion was made from a thick fleece type material for the head, body, tail, ears and feet. We used a curly wig we bought, used some on the tail.(Metal of bravery was made from cardboard, gold spray paint, glitter & ribbon)The Scarecrow was easy it was just brow slacks, tweed type fabric for jacket, brown rope for waist orange felt for hat with some straw placed on/hot glued in specific areas (diploma was poster board)Dorothy was from a pattern (basic Dorothy dress) basic & Toto aka benji dog was found at a resale shop.
